Find your passion – Live your passion. Your chance of becoming successful is very high if you do things which you love.
Let me share my story with you.
It’s important to share this with you so you can understand a little more about where I was just a few months ago and now, How I am living the life of my passion?
Find Your Passion – How I became Infopreneur?
I still remember that moment.
I was sitting in front of the office table at my job on 13th Nov 2021.
I was wondering –
- What the hell am I doing here?
- Why am I even coming back to work every day?
Is that it? Is that all I’ll be doing the rest of my life?
Back then I was working as a DGM IT in a multinational company…
I’d been in the IT industry for more than 15 years…
I was earning a pretty good salary per month.
I was managing IT Infrastructure for 13 years and would love to manage that.
But, my boss wants me to do something else.
He asked me to move out of my comfort zone and perform in the application area.
Due to my nature of accepting, I accepted a new profile and started working in the application area.
But, soon I realized that it was a trap played by my boss.
My boss started giving me multiple assignments. I completed a few but things were getting worst.
Before completing one assignment I used to get another. It was like mental torture and soon I realized that application is not my cup of tea.
Now, I was in a job role there was no passion. (Application area)
But, I continued – Because I thought things will be alright after a few months.
And I am getting a decent paycheque which I cannot get in my hometown.
And due to family reasons, I cannot leave my hometown.
On that day I realized… What am I doing in my life?
I am living the same life every day.
Going to the office early and coming back home late.
Doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results.
I also thought that I have big goals and dreams in my life…
Can I fulfill that dream with my job…
A job where I am not finding fulfillment.
A job where I don’t have a passion for work.
And that moment, that realization… was one of the most important moments in my life.
- Realizing – this is NOT what I wanted.
- Realized – there’s got to be something that I need to change!
- Realized – there’s more to life than I am currently doing.
At that time I didn’t have any ideas about what to do or what to change…
I didn’t even know my passion and all these things…
The only thing that I thought of was…
I cannot work for the things that I am not passionate about.
My first passion was IT Infrastructure.
A person who is doing IT Infrastructure for 13 years, How you can expect him to become a superman in the application area in a few months?
But you know Boss is always right! And they have the right to do anything and everything because they have power.
Not only that some bosses are insecure and they don’t like others’ growth and they have targets to remove people from the organization ruthlessly.
Well, I was not the first, two more people were treated in the same manner.
This is due to a lack of system and control over a person or relying on trusting people at the top and not listing to people at a lower level.
It was not that I was not knowing application development.
The person who can successfully develop a “Stock market site” – https://finxdata.com that gives real-time information about Indian & foreign stock indices, mutual funds, and gold rate – How you can say and decide that he don’t know application development?
Well, on that day, at that moment, in my office I realized that
- I am working as a cubical prisoner and working for the person and not for a company.
- I am working for things for which I was not passionate.
The single thought in my mind those days was –
“Accept the things you can’t change or Change the things you can’t accept.”
First I was in acceptance mode because at a lower level you can not change the entire system process and boss.
Then I realized things will not change by remaining in acceptance mode and guess what!
I have taken the bold decision to leave my job.
It was a painful decision!
Although it was one of the highest paying jobs for many it was a dream job.
Although it was my bread and butter.
Although I had EMI and family responsibilities.
But, what to do with the job which gives you mental torture every day.
I decided to leave my job and decided to give second chance to my life.
I decided to take the biggest risk of my life.
Guess what I was successful & it was one of the best decisions of my life.
Many people including my X boss advised me not to leave my job. His word was you will not get a similar job. Many people called me crazy…even though few are still thinking that I am crazy.
But who cares! (सबसे बड़ा रोग क्या कहेंगे लोग)
But…My mind was in search of my passion…and I was able to find my passion.
I become a Passionpreneur.
A big thanks to God and my wife, my family, my sister, and my friends all people who supported and still supporting me to live my passion.
They supported me and motivated me to become a passionprenur.
Passionpreneur Someone who has plugged into his or her passion and turned it into a profitable business while positively contributing to other people’s lives.
But later stage I realized that I am passionprenure cum Infopreneur. An infopreneur is an entrepreneur who makes money by collecting, organizing and selling information, typically in a niche market.
Why am I sharing this with you?
Because I know some of you might be going through something similar.
- Maybe you have been stuck in the job for many years and you’re eagerly looking for a change…
- Maybe your boss is also like my past boss… forcing you to do the thing which you don’t like.
- Maybe your boss intends to kick you out of your job.
- Maybe you’re not able to find exactly what you want to do in life for a very long time…
- Maybe you’re feeling worried, seeing people losing jobs or getting pay cuts…
Whatever you’re struggling with… I can tell you this.
The pain you’re feeling right now WILL become your biggest advantage.
The pain will make you unstoppable.
The pain & burning desire can only help you.
Without this pain, you will never realize there are some actions you need to take to change your life.
It’s like in the past when you feel sick…
That’s an alarm clock from your body telling you that…
“Hey, you haven’t been treating your body well. Please take care of me.”
Then you understand that you need to change either your eating habits…
Or maybe workout habits.
I hope I am making sense.
You can transform your life if you decide to live for your passion.
If you decide to become passionpreneur.
How did I become Infopreneur?
From the beginning, I was passionate about money. From the day I started my job and got my first paycheque I started investing and started finding options of How to grow money?
I was from a middle-class family, living in 1 BHK (one bedroom hall kitchen) flat and today I own 5BHK raw house.
All because of my passion. Passion for Money. Passion for writing and spreading awareness!
My father was Bank Manager and lived a middle-class life. My father relied on a single source of Income his entire life.
I remember the day I cried because –
- My father was unable to afford fees for my engineering.
- I could not go abroad for my MS due to money problems & family responsibilities.
- My father got a paralysis attack due to stress in his job.
So, from the beginning, I decided that – I don’t want to live a mediocre life.
I want to live my life to the fullest.
Not only that I also learn that I need multiple sources of Income in my life.
After joining a Job in MNC, I started investing money and finding a second source of Income.
After marriage, in the year 2010, one insurance agent sold me LIC Jeevan Saral Policy by saying it is a very good policy for life insurance.
It was not policy selling it was dream selling. He said it is a dream policy and surely gives 13-14% returns. He sold the policy and I started paying premiums.
After a few days after discussing with friends and analyzing I realized that LIC Jeevan Saral is an average policy and it will give only 6-7%.
The thought process in mind at that time was, that I have taken a bad decision of buying Jeevan Saral and also thought like me, many other people would be taking a financial decision in hasty.
So, I decided to help people by spreading awareness about money and financial products.
At that time Internet was just started and I was passionate about money and thought to writing about things I know about finance.
I decided to spread awareness and I started my first website https://moneyexcel.com in 2012.
The name moneyexcel was inspired by moneycontrol.
I started writing part-time about money, income tax, and investments.
I continued writing for a few years. There was no intention of getting money out of it.
The intention was to educate people about money. Many people in India struggle to manage finance, especially in rural area.
Gradually moneyexcel was growing. I used to write articles on moneyexcel in the evening after office hours.
Sometimes, I used to burn the midnight oil. Writing and solving technical problems arising on my blog.
Things which was driving me were my passion, and my inherent force to help people making them aware of money and finance.
After a few years (in 2014-15) of starting a blog, I got an offer from Google to put advertisements on my blog, and guess what my second income started.
Many people thought about how one can live on Internet money.
Believe me or not. Internet Money can help you to become rich.
You don’t know the power of Internet money.
The major revenue of big Internet companies – Google, Facebook & YouTube is from advertisement – Internet money.
When my job started giving problems, I switched to my second income.
I started living my passion all day.
Now I have freedom.
I can do whatever I want to do.
I lives a six Sunday a week life and still make decent money.
I become infopreneur – blogger, influencer, digital marketer, YouTuber, financial consultant and recently India’s first infopreneur mentor and motivational speaker.
If you can believe in yourself you can achieve it.
Remember the Famous saying by the Father of the nation – Shree Mahatma Gandhi.
- First they ignore you.
- Then they laugh at you.
- Then they fight you.
- Then you win.
I am 100% sure that you can also become infopreneur.
You need to ask 3 questions to yourself to find your passion.
I called these questions as 3P Questions.
